sometimes things don’t work out as you plan…
i got dressed and went out last night, after finishing my blog post, on a mission to catch up with Anna, Kim, and the birthday party bar crawl…
i tried calling and texting two of them, no answer….
i knew where they were going first, so i went there. no luck.
moving on, i walked into every club and bar i thought them likely to go to, wandering around downtown Boise for about an hour.  finally i decided, they must have called it a night and cabbed it back to Kim’s, where it had all started…
so i wandered back to my car and drove over toward Kim’s figuring i’ll hit the after party and grab the jacket i left there last week…. but the house was dark….. so home i went.
this morning i woke up and let out the dogs then fed the bitches (what? they’re all female!)
i was sitting on the sofa, debating crashing out for a little while longer and Anna comes in the front door with stories from the night before, a hangover, and an  invite to breakfast.
we meet up with Kim and the birthday girl for food and i learn that i had missed the group by probably 5 minutes. when i was wandering the bars looking for them, they were in between bars and i left one shortly before they got to it and closed it down…
last night, i was frustrated about it because by the time id bounced from bar to bar i felt like staying out and dancing, but i’m not going to do that alone. watching them nurse their hangovers this morning… i’m not so terribly upset that i missed it!

i wandered around the artists co-op down the street for awhile with Heather this afternoon and decided i need to get on it with my photography… i take tons of pictures and love being artsy with angles and perspectives…. i’ve been told i need to find a venue to sell my shots so i’m going to look into making note cards and posters and such to sell… prints of my “drive by shootings” and views “vicariously thru me”
i may even decide to make my own paper for them…
i took a few pretty cool shots of the moon rising above the christmas lights in the neighborhood where i took my one and only delivery of the night. so i guess it wasn’t a total loss…

after nearly working, i went with heather to visit some of her friends where we played a few rowdy rounds of apples to apples. if you’ve never play this game before, you’re missing out.
and now… here i am!

faerie lights in motion

drive by shooting, using the hood as a tripod

reflections of a festive moon

a ghost of myself, drawn toward the lights
